I’m Waynette Jones — a Critical Care Nurse, Educator, and Founder of ICU Foundations for the Confident Nurse.

Why I Created ICU Foundations

When I first walked into the ICU, I remember feeling both excited and overwhelmed. The monitors were beeping, the patients were critically unstable, and the expectations were sky-high.
Like many nurses, I realized that transitioning into critical care takes more than passion — it requires preparation, confidence, and mentorship.

That’s why I created ICU Foundations for the Confident Nurse — a practical, evidence-based training platform designed to simplify critical care concepts and build confidence through hands-on learning.
My goal is simple: to empower every nurse who enrolls to walk into their next shift feeling ready, capable, and proud of their clinical judgment.
